Gem Car Battery Charger
I bought my wife a 1989 Volkswagen Cabriolet Convertible as a summer car and I am having problems with it?
The car is a gem and runs great. The previous owner had a high end alarm system installed in the vehicle. The problem with the car is it starts great. You start to run errands with it and after a couple times of stop and start, the vehicle just won't start. We have been to a number of garages for the problem and they have not been able to figure it out. I have changed the battery. It has a different type of oil filter, something to do with pressure (I really don't understand it). If you leave the vehicle sit for 30 minutes and do nothing it will start again, or if you boost it with another car or charger pack. The previous mechanics can't seem to find anything wrong with the electrical system.
Does anyone have any ideas that may help?

bad stater when it get hot coil swell up wont turn over cool down than start right up . had same problem
