Where should we visit when we drive around West USA?
We are hiring a car and driving from san francisco and back after 1.5 months. We know about the obvious places but are there any hidden gems that we might not have heard about? Are there any good routes to follow and places to definitely avoid? Thanks!
Avoid all cities during rush hours. It just wastes your time.
My favorite US destinations:
Monument Valley on the Navajo Nations Land in Arizona
Yellowstone Park, Wyoming
Smokey Mountain National Park
The Blue Ridge Parkway (especially around the Virginia, North Carolina border)
Sequoia National Park
Carter's Fold Music Barn, in Mendota, Virginia.
