which video card setup is better?

if i could get any new video card which should it be? the new nvidia geforce x2 (when it comes out) or the ati 4800 x2 ?
also can you use multicore cards in sli or crossfire setup? like have 4 of the video cards? also can someone explain what this tesla c1060, does it really have 240 processors on 1 card and can you use this card in sli?

I would refrain from using multi-GPU cards in SLI setups at ALL COSTS. It is the most inefficent price: performance ratio possible due to the state of the drivers for the hardware setups which you are describing. Run SLI with two mid-priced cards and it will give you the performance to muscle 99% of current applications.
